A rebuild of a site the team couldn't edit into a public-facing resource library for five decades of independent environmental monitoring at Sullom Voe.
The problem
The Shetland Oil Terminal Environmental Advisory Group has monitored the environment around Sullom Voe since the 1970s. That makes it one of the longest-running independent monitoring programmes in the UK, and its reports are a public evidence base of real value.
The old website had become something the team couldn’t edit themselves. Every update depended on someone else, so the material aged and the site stopped reflecting the work.
What we built
A new site the SOTEAG team runs themselves, built around a public resource library. Decades of monitoring reports are organised so that researchers, regulators, and the public can find what they need without already knowing where it was filed.
The outcome
A long-running scientific evidence base that is public, navigable, and kept current by the people who produce it.
